The Verge – Microsoft reaches ‘human parity’ with new speech recognition system
The Verge – Microsoft claims its new speech recognition technology has “reached human parity” according to its chief speech scientist, Xuedong Huang. The system’s error rate is 5.9% which is “about equal” to that of a professional transcriptionist. Microsoft plans to integrate its new speech technology with its personal voice assistant, Cortana. Cortana is currently available on Windows and Xbox One. LINK
