Synthedia 2 – The Online Synthetic Media Conference Starts in Less Than 24 Hours

Synthetic media is a group of technologies with a lot of momentum. That is why we decided to have our Synthedia 2 event this month and not wait until 2023. There is just too much going on, and we had a lot of interesting innovations we wanted to shine a spotlight on now. Our goal is to help everyone keep track of these developments and the impacts they are introducing.

The conference is free. Check out the video below for some added details. Register to attend live or to get easy access to the recordings after the event.

The Innovation Cycle is Accelerating

The frenetic activity around ChatGTP, Midjourney 4B, and Stable Diffusion 2.0 are just a few of the developments over the past six weeks. There is also increasing overlap with voice AI technologies. As you know, Voicebot writes articles about synthetic media technologies and offers a daily newsletter called Synthedia. The Synthedia 2 event complements those efforts with direct access to innovators in the industry and information sharing within the growing community.

Speakers Using Synthetic Media in Business

Synthedia 2 is focused on production use cases. We have an author using a large language model to help him write a book. There is a voice cloning and synthetic speech prototyping tool being used for game and film production. A 24-hour news media company uses a virtual human for daily videos, and another doubled podcast output using a voice clone of its most popular show host. An accomplished artist used Midjourney to generate 1,001 images for a charity auction. The images are stunning.

And we will also present a sneak peek at some Voicebot and Synthedia research on the comparative performance of text-to-text and text-to-image generators. We are pretty excited about the event. I hope you will join us for all or part of the event.
