Digital data management platform for the automotive industry Impel has acquired conversational AI startup CarLabs for an undisclosed sum. CarLabs has developed virtual assistants for car dealers and OEMs to manage and improve customer interactions, which will build on Impel’s growing AI portfolio for the industry.
The seven-year-old CarLabs provides car dealerships and related companies with an adaptable conversational AI that can work within mobole apps, social media services, or websites as a chatbot to help answer questions and handle sales. Customers like Kia Motors have employed CarLabs to follow up with customers after they visit, schedule appointments, and search for new leads. It can help those looking for a car figure out what they want to buy as well as their financing and payment options.
