Google Assistant Now Available in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish

A Google I/O announcement in May said that Google Home would come to Scandinavia in 2018. Google’s standard playbook is to roll out Google Assistant in a newly supported language for use on smartphones a few months ahead of Google Home’s arrival. Google Assistant arrived in Sweden in August and Norway and Denmark earlier this month.

Normally, we would expect about 60-100 days between the announcement of Google Assistant and arrival of Google Home in a country. Given the time of year, this will likely result in Google Home sales starting in Scandinavia in the middle of the traditional holiday shopping season. Stay tuned.
