ZDNet – Google Assistant is Starved for Conversation
ZDNet – The Google Assistant, Google’s answer to Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa, needs to have more conversations to improve its abilities. The problem is, it can only be found in three niche products at the moment which is a very small percent of its parent company’s reach. The first place Google Assistant appeared was in Google’s messaging app Allo which never really took off and failed to reach the popularity of rival apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Google Assistant also resides in two Google devices, the Pixel smartphone and Google Home, which were launched just last month. The devices could grow in popularity, but right now neither of them has the audience reach the Google Assistant needs to grow as a conversant. The Google Assistant needs a wider audience reach and the best way to achieve this is by being integrated in more Android smartphones, not just the Pixel. LINK
