Meet Kuri, A New Kind of Home Robot

Builder – Mayfield Robotics introduced its new home robot, Kuri, at this year’s 2017. The robot stands 20 inches tall and is designed to appear lifelike and assist with everyday tasks. The Mayfield Robotics team even worked with former Pixar animators to develop the robot’s appearance, motions and sounds. Kuri can provide surveillance, communicate with its owners and play music. It is also capable of facial recognition, so it can recognize when a stranger enters the house or send an alert that the kids are safely home from school. Kuri can also control other smart home devices. The home robot is available for pre-order for $699. See the short demo video below. LINK
