AdTech Startup Adthos Debuts Generative AI Feature That Turns Pictures into Audio Commercials
Advertising platform Adthos has debuted a new generative AI feature capable of transforming an image into a complete audio commercial. This image-to-ad tool leverages AI to analyze a picture, write a script, and cast synthetic voices to perform, massively streamlining the process for clients.
Adthos Image-to-Ad
Adthos clients can upload a product photo, billboard, storefront, or any other brand image to the company’s self-service Creative Studio platform to start the process of producing the commercial. The generative AI model will collect information from the visual content to write a draft script and select fitting voiceovers, music, and even sound effects. After a few minutes, an initial version of the audio ad is ready for editing and publication. You can see how it works in the video above.
“Adthos is committed to revolutionizing the way audio advertising is produced,” Adthos CEO Raoul Wedel explained. “Our new feature is a game-changer, instantly unlocking the potential of audio advertising for anyone that can take a picture.”
Adthos Creative Studio launched earlier this year with several other generative AI capabilities. It can separate the audio from a video and turn it into a purely audio ad voiced by one of its synthetic voices. It can also translate the script into multiple languages, enabling companies to publish an ad across a more diverse set of channels and reach more customers than would normally be feasible. The same set of tools can even replicate a video’s audio track in another language and be reinserted into the video to republish.
“As advertisers increasingly depend on multimedia campaigns to convey their message, it was a natural progression for us to extend the same flexibility that Adthos offers for audio, to video,” Wedel said at the time. “From now on our publishing and broadcasting customers, and their advertisers have a new way to reach more audiences, in more languages and even faster than ever before.”
