4 Session Highlights to Watch at Voice Global on June 17
The Voice Global conference by Modev this coming Wednesday, June 17 will fill a full 24 hours with presentations and conversations about voice technology across six virtual channels, labeled VG1 to VG6. Though it’s impossible to watch all of the sessions as they happen, we’ve picked out some sessions, arranged chronologically, that may be particularly exciting. 6:30 a.m. Elderly & Voice: A Natural Opportunity – VG5
Project Zilver has already found that voice assistants can reduce loneliness in older people. Founder Maarten Lens-FitzGerald will discuss this and other opportunities for bringing voice technology to older people.
11:15 a.m. The State of Voice – VG1
Voicebot’s own founder Bret Kinsella will share stats and stories about the current voice tech industry, and where it may go from here.
11:45 a.m. Voice Technology in Healthcare: Leveraging Voice to Enhance Patient and Provider Experiences – VG1
A panel full of experts on healthcare and AI will discuss how voice technology is being used to improve it, and where it goes from here. The panel includes Dr. Sandhya Pruthi from the Mayo Clinic, Harry Pappas of the Intelligent Health Association, Voice First Health host Teri Fisher, and David Metcalf and Michael Eakins from UCF.
2:15 p.m. – Reuters Keynote – All Channels
Nick Cohen, the Reuters director of product and core news services will do a keynote address as a fireside chat. Modev and Reuters pushed out an announcement that talk will discuss the changes brought to the news industry by voice technology and include a big announcement by Cohen about how Reuters will use the tech in the future.
