Google Assistant Speaks Polish – FI

Google Assistant Now Supports Polish, May Be Testing Arabic

Google announced this week in a blog post that Google Assistant now supports Polish. The post says that Google Assistant was given a Polish personality that includes understanding Poland’s pop culture and local customs. This is a common localization tactic for Google when bringing Assistant to a new country. Voicebot reader and voice bot designer Martin Krcek let us know about the Polish support and recorded a short video of it working on a smartphone.

Google says Polish support will be rolling out to Android Lollipop and higher OS versions and will be coming to iOS. Neither Martin nor I have seen it land yet in iOS, but these rollout delays are usually addressed within a few days.

Is Google Assistant Coming to Arabic Next?

9to5 Google is reporting that Google Assistant is also being tested in Arabic. It was first reported by Saudi Android on Twitter. However, the image and Tweet have subsequently been removed. It is not clear whether it was a hoax or a beta test that wasn’t quite ready for public consumption.
