Google Assistant’s co-lead of global product partnerships Sofia Altuna will again host the 90-minute show, which drew more than 13,000 subscribers worldwide.

Live Show

The upcoming episode of the livestream series is titled “Building for Voice Experiences.” Google and voice tech community and event organizer Modev have again put together a mix of entrepreneurs and tech experts to discuss the subject in both live and pre-taped segments, with interactive live polls and questions for the host and guests to answers. To watch the show, people can register on the website or see it on YouTube or Facebook Live. On the interactive side of things, people watching the show can submit real-time questions and comments on Twitter using #AskSofia. The show is also soliciting videos ahead of time from attendees about voice apps they have built to handle everyday problems and connect people. Those interested can submit their video on the show’s website.

Women Leadership

The main show’s segments will begin with Google Assistant senior director of product Lilian Rincon and head of consumer partnerships Meryl Stone will start with a discussion about how Google’s voice assistant is facilitating projects in different industries while staying home during the COVID-19 health crisis. Matchbox.io chief content officer Sarah Andrew Wilson and software engineer Ilarna Nche will then showcase their company’s lessons in how best to build voice experiences, followed by a look at building voice games by Google Assistant developer advocate Jessica Dene Earley-Cha. To round out the segments, Leslie Garcia-Amaya from Google Assistant’s global partnerships initiative will interview Tile senior director for platform engineering and Women in Voice leader Jossie Haines about the ways women in the voice tech space are working to support each other.

“I am passionate about finding new and innovative ways to build for voice experiences and create solutions that empower all people, including women and underrepresented minorities, to fulfill their unique needs and live more engaged lives,” Haines said in a statement. “In addition, I am a big advocate for women in engineering and technology and have been a champion for diversity and inclusion at Tile. It is an incredible company that focuses on creating a culture of belonging through the team’s everyday policies and practices.”
