Slack IBM Watson Partnership

Fortune – IBM Watson Lends Brains To Slack’s Chatbot

Fortune – Slack is partnering with IBM to integrate its digital assistant, Slackbot with IBM’s machine learning tool, Watson, the company announced last week. Slack will use the “Watson Conversation” tool to develop natural language processing for its Slackbot assistant. Developers looking to build applications for Slack can use Watson tools like sentiment analysis and speech plug-ins to develop artificial intelligence chat features. “We want Slack to become better and smarter the more you use it,” said Stewart Butterfield, CEO and co-founder of Slack, in a statement.

Slack isn’t the only company looking to IBM to help improve its products in the artificial technology space. Office retailer Staples and German industrial company Siemens have also recently announced partnerships with IBM. LINK
